Model of Care


National Childcare Residential Services utilise the Trauma Model of Care to enhance the development of young people.

This model focuses on trauma experienced by young people and attachment patterns which manifests in their current behaviour and aims to promote positive relationships and development of emotional intelligence.

This assessment is only carried out when requested by the referring agent.

This involves the young person completing a trauma symptom assessment, and the NCRS care team implementing individualised interventions for the young person which are identified from the assessment. The assessment involves 54 items consisting of 2 validity scales and 6 clinical scales.
